Winter Season Dog Handler – Northern Norway
Are you looking for a unique winter job in Arctic Norway?
We are Husky Isogaisa, a family-run dog sledding company located in Gratangen, Northern Norway. Every winter we welcome guests from around the world and share our passion for sled dogs, nature, and Sámi culture.
We are looking for a seasonal employee to join our team for the winter season.
- Feeding, caring for, and exercising the dogs
- Preparing dog teams and equipment
- Assisting guests before and after tours
- Helping on dog sledding tours
- General maintenance and practical tasks around the kennel
You are reliable, hardworking, and enjoy animals and outdoor life. Previous experience with sled dogs is an advantage, but not required. Training will be provided.
A valid driver’s license is a plus.

This is not a nine-to-five job. During the peak season, the days can be long and the work can be physically demanding. We expect a lot from our employees, and we believe they should be well paid for their efforts.
We are primarily looking for people who want to work and take responsibility. If your main goal is adventure and a holiday experience, this is probably not the right position for you. However, if you enjoy hard work, animals, and life outdoors, you may be a great fit for our team.
The winter season normally runs from December through April. Exact dates can be discussed individually.
